I helped on a school trip last week. Though we live close to the sea, some of the children could not recall ever visiting the beach; sometimes we take things for granted that we could do with appreciating!

Nan is very proud of her picture of the pier, as you can see....AND she got 3 housepoints for it!

One of the girlies was saying how she wished she was going on holiday, yet people come here on their holidays! It's all relative. I am still planning a trip to Rome, and have been doing that for a year. It needs to fit in with babysitting, moving, summer schools....I am trusting that I will be there when the time is right.

Trust is sometimes hard to hold, but God wants  us to be happy and, as I once heard a wise lady say, "Hope has a hole in it!

On the way back from the trip, we had to walk for about half an hour. I had to confess to our nice Head-teacher that I walked barefoot. He did give me a slight frown, but the shoes were wrong. Had I walked on in them, I would have had blisters; without them, I was in touch with the earth, and I had to concentrate on my steps. Shoes would have lulled me into a kind of blind walking, with no regard to what was on the ground in front of me. Ok, so he can report me to the chair of governors if he wants, It's ME!
