Well, the rain has resumed but never mind. The school garden can do with it, as it has raised beds that look beautiful but take a lot of water. When I dropped the girls off the other morning it was nice to see Mr L taking a stroll around the little plot, which is really flourishing now.
My day began early, with a drive to the station; Ali has an appointment in London, where she has been invited to sing for a tutor at a rather well known academy. Life's opportunities need to be grasped with both hands, after all.
My day will probably involve sorting out; I have some smart new boxes to fill! Comfortably full of fresh fruit salad, I am ready for action! Life feels good, and there is so much to look forward to. Despite inevitable peaks and troughs, attitude makes a huge difference. While out in the rain earlier, those huddled against it became just as wet as those striding cheerfully through the downpour, and were miserable as well!
Better to be happy and wet as a duck than grumpy and mumbling that everything's soaked!

How true. Ban the umbrella, that's what I say.
