So says the mug I was given for Christmas and, I think, It sums me up quite accurately at times. So many things can change, planning too far in advance can lead to time being wasted anyway. Many a time I have made meticulous plans which have then completely disintegrated, feeling like a huge spanner has been thrown into the works because things no longer seem to be going according to MY plan although, I have learned, the divine plan is far more important than I, or any other human, may devise.
Last night I caught the end of Bruce Almighty, which I saw already, and was reminded of God's wisdom and of the benefits of selfless love. The hero has lost his true love and, when God asks if he would like her back he says, No, he would like her happy. In putting her first, he demonstrates his love for her.He wants to let her go, to allow her to find true happiness.
As Sting sang, "If you love somebody, set them free!" It is a message we are trying to get across to little Rosie, in her enthusiastic and stifling demonstration of love for our cat. If you have to squeeze her tight to stay, where is the pleasure in that? The true honour comes in the cat choosing to sit with her, snuggling beside her with a contented purr.

There are many situations to which we hold on, as if life depended on it. If they are meant to be, they will be. I have watched people try to control others, to force them into doing or saying things when, in truth, only things that are completely heartfelt have any real or lasting meaning.
So, my wish is that everyone experiences true love, where people choose to be together, or stay together, and experience the freedom of total love, a love that strengthens wings and allows all participants to fly.
