Most of us know the story of Jonah and the Whale. Jonah had been asked by God to tell the inhabitants of a large city that they should change their ways or suffer the consequences. He was afraid to do this, so he tried to run away but God would not be hidden from. Eventually, even after being swallowed by a whale, he did God's will. Jonah was not "bad" for trying to run away, just afraid to rock the boat. Ironically, that fear brought him to a very rocked boat, indeed.

Every one of us has a contract with God/dess, an agreement made before birth. The most important part of this is, surely, to love and respect the Earth, and our fellow Earth-dwellers. We must give her as much as we take from her. At the very least.

Deep within ourselves we know why we are here and what we "signed up for." Maybe the 'upsets' we experience along the way are our boats being rocked, or maybe they are our whales.

The effects of global warming are mother Earth's way of protesting about the harm we are causing the planet. We can still make changes.

Our own illnesses and problems are our bodies' ways of protesting about the way we treat ourselves. We can still make changes.

Our birthright is love and happiness which, if we live in the hand of God/dess, and as the hands of God/dess we can experience. Human beings feel safe in a crowd, like sheep in a flock, all following each other. By having the courage to fulfil our pre-birth blue-print we get to live according to our birth-right, knowing the harmony and happiness we hardly dared to dream of!
